Lil Haven Kennel, LLC was founded in 1994 as a small breeding facility of show quality Maltese and Yorkshire Terriers. Golden Retrievers were added in 2002 and were shown at the Junior Handling level. The Goldens are the offspring of "River" a Westminister Champion.
In 2008 several kennels went out of business due to death or major illness. Select breeding stock were hand picked for breeding or placement into homes from these kennels. This major event led Lil Haven Kennel, LLC to dedicate a percentage of their capacity and funds to the fostering and care of unwanted and neglected animals. Lil Haven Kennel is also committed to helping families find homes for their displaced pets that were bred by us. We do not want our pups to ever end up in shelters.
Lil Haven Kennel, LLC is an American Kennel Club-certified breeder. The kennel is licensed by the State of Colorado and is committed to exceeding State Standards for the humane care of animals. No dogs are kept in small wire cages and all are given amble room to run.
We are adamant about maintaining breed standards while producing quality healthy pups at a humane rate. We become very attached to our puppies and desire that each one finds a lasting, permanent home.
